Goals of Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N)

  • Children, youth, and families will:
  • have access to a comprehensive array of services
  • receive individualized services in accord with unique needs and potentials
  • receive services within the least restrictive, most normative, clinically appropriate environment
  • be full participants in all aspects of the planning and delivery of services
  • receive services that are integrated, with linkages between agencies and programs
  • have early identification and intervention in order to enhance the likelihood of positive outcomes
  • be ensured smooth transitions to the adult service system as they reach maturity
  • be served without regard to race,religion, national origin, sex, physical disability, or other characteristics
  • receive services sensitive and responsive to cultural differences and special needs
  • move fragmented services into a seamless system of care
  • identify young children with behavioral and emotional problems
  • keep children at home and in community settings to improve their mental health and school readiness
  • educate and empower families to provide leadership
