Goals of Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N)
- Children, youth, and families will:
- have access to a comprehensive array of services
- receive individualized services in accord with unique needs and potentials
- receive services within the least restrictive, most normative, clinically appropriate environment
- be full participants in all aspects of the planning and delivery of services
- receive services that are integrated, with linkages between agencies and programs
- have early identification and intervention in order to enhance the likelihood of positive outcomes
- be ensured smooth transitions to the adult service system as they reach maturity
- be served without regard to race,religion, national origin, sex, physical disability, or other characteristics
- receive services sensitive and responsive to cultural differences and special needs
- move fragmented services into a seamless system of care
- identify young children with behavioral and emotional problems
- keep children at home and in community settings to improve their mental health and school readiness
- educate and empower families to provide leadership
